Gorgeous Outdoor Wedding with A Terracotta Color Palette

Britt and Ian’s Grande Prairie wedding was absolutely stunning, and I’m thrilled to share all the details with you today. The couple opted for a breathtaking terracotta color palette that perfectly complemented the boho-inspired theme. Delicate pampas grass arrangements adorned the venue, adding an extra touch of warmth to their outdoor celebration. From the gorgeous decor to the heartfelt moments, every detail was thoughtfully planned and flawlessly executed. As you scroll through the photos, prepare to fall in love with every aspect of this wedding, just like I did. Being part of this remarkable wedding was truly an honor.

Grande Prairie Wedding Ceremony

Britt and Ian’s wedding was a unique and intimate affair, held on a picturesque family property instead of a traditional wedding venue. Surrounded by tall trees, the ceremony took place in the natural beauty of their surroundings. As a wedding photographer who lives on an acreage myself, I’m always partial to an outdoor ceremony. Especially when it’s held in a place that’s so meaningful to the couple.

The bride, Britt, looked absolutely radiant as she walked down the aisle, accompanied by her stunning bridesmaids dressed in stunning floor-length terracotta gowns. Following the heartfelt ceremony, we began to capture their more formal wedding day portraits. To add a touch of playfulness, the ladies put on black leather jackets, creating a fun and memorable contrast to their elegant attire. These ended up being some of my favorite photos from the entire day!

An Outdoor Tented Wedding Reception

Britt and Ian celebrated their outdoor wedding reception beneath a charming white tent. The tent was decorated with a blend of classic, romantic, boho, and rustic elements, creating an warm and inviting atmosphere. The tables were beautifully adorned with crisp white linens and shimmery rose gold table runners, adding an elegant touch. Each centerpiece was carefully placed on rustic wood slices, which was the perfect way to blend the natural and romantic elements they included.

A Fun Outdoor Wedding Reception in Grande Prairie

Sometimes during the planning process, it’s easy to get caught up in the details and forget that your wedding day is supposed to be fun! That’s why when Britt and Ian celebrated their special day with their family and friends, they made sure to spend a lot of time on the dance floor! Their reception was full of laughter and joy as they shared toasts, slow danced, and took shots with their loved ones. It was a beautiful evening that I could not have been more grateful to have been a part of.

Plus, as the sun started to set, I got to sneak Britt and Ian just outside the tent for just a few golden hour portraits in their wedding attire. Another perk of a gorgeous (and private!) wedding location.

If you are currently in the middle of planning your own wedding, I just want to take a moment to encourage you to enjoy every single moment, savour the memories, and trust that you have hired a professional photographer who can capture your day. Britt and Ian’s wedding in Grande Prairie was one of my favorite summer weddings last year, and I can’t wait to see all of the magic that unfold this year and into 2024.
